Book Suggestions for Entrepreneurs
Hello Everyone,
It has been a while since I have posted a writing.
I figured with a lot of the work I am doing in the nutrition, Machine Learning, genetics, ad the Healthcare space. I needed to start posting more information.
So I want to first state that with the recent emergency of our nation. My heart goes out to all the families, people, and businesses that are affected by the virus and the health issues of our world. My thoughts and prayers go out to those that have truly been affected.
As these times are moving at exponential pace right now. I want to remind you about the type of mindset we need to have as entrepreneurs, engineers, and scientific researchers. As the world continues to shift, and change. We need to focus on expanding our minds.
As a lot of you know, I read a lot and I would say 10x more than the average human.
I always like to craft a story around what is happening currently in life or in the future. I guess most of my friends consider me to be a futurist.
I guess that is why most of them keep me around :)
Ok back to the story:
Genes vs Cultures vs Consciousness by Andres Campero
This book was awesome because of how many different sectors it crossed in its explanation of each discipline. The content made its way through neuroscience, humanities, AI/ML theory and practicality, cognitive science, and evolutionary history. Genes, cultures, and consciousness can be seen as building a story by conveying some aspect of the development, the history, the nature and the future of the mind. I appreciate this view on our modern workforce. I believe that we have created so many holes in each industry that nothing flows from one sector to another easily.
Usually I am speaking to the entrepreneurs in my writing and I know most of them are in my life. About 98% of my friends run their own businesses, blogs, consultancies, or AI startups. Andres allows his reader to really has a great way to connect the history of the past with the future with scientific facts and theoretical phenomena.
He states that genes, consciousness, and cultures interact to form our minds. They are enemies in conflict that follow their own selective pressures.
Are you adapting at this point in time?
Entrepreneurs are usually running after their dreams, visions, or goals. What have you accomplished in the last couple of weeks to set the sail for what is to come?
A piece from my new book:
Untangle your mind:
The Scientific approach to Entrepreneurship coming states:
Chapter 1, Page 17
I remember as a young trainer I was asked to be a coach by a special child and at first didn’t want to but grew into the idea to prepare more young adult girls about winning, passion, and grit. I never wanted to be a coach to my students. I wanted to talk about diet, optimizing their playing ability, or helping each other. I wanted this for my kids because it was how much I loved seeing them break their own barriers. That group of young girls that I had back in the early 2010s was one of the best teams that I have coached in my entire life. A coach judges his teams based off the trajectory similar to a stock or a startup. The right team, data, forecasts, and timing. I felt coaching that team made me a better leader, as I continued to stumble upon life.

Why do I recommend this book to my Entrepreneur warriors?
I enjoyed the way he spoke about the mind!
The entrepreneurs that will win this race are those that have the ability to use their mind to expand to different heights. We need to build within our system a stable building block that encompasses all of the disciplines of the outside, and inside world to stretch ourselves.
Ok, what does that mean?
3 Tips
1.Get ready set: Time! Entrepreneur turn on an alarm clock and stay close to the time. Set in breaks, and motivations to get to those breaks. Stop buying junk and start buying fruits, veggies, and water.
1 hour to research or gather data, 2 hours or more to get through data, 15 minute break, Repeat..Break and go for a walk or read a book (depending on atmosphere)
*this tip doesn't only pertain to data but to whatever side hustle you are currently doing*
2.Stop watching over 5 hours of news: We can get into a rat race of TV, Instagram, Facebook, and what we are doing is creating a cycle with dirty water in it. Media is good but at smaller consumption rate then usual. If you want to test yourself. Try to set out 5 hours without looking at any of those platforms to check on the virus. If it hurts to pull away! You might need to shut everything down completely for a few days!
3. Drive results: What are you using to set metrics on your life everyday. Can you do this digitally? Yes, and it becomes easier as you adapt. What are your :
KPI's Key performance indicators for life?
What can you drive? Do you need to finish a paper? or Do you need to hire 10 people? Is this a time to focus on your health, and diet? Do you even know what drives you?
Time:Stop:Drive
Think about these words in the context of steps. Each word is a step forward. Even the word Stop is a step forward because it allows you to set yourself clear for the journey. Some of us are in a storm and need to wipe the windshield clear to see the road ahead.
