Book Review: The Power of Broke by Daymond John

So today's book review is Over The Power of Broke.

This is written by Daymond John, one of the co stars of NBC's hit show, The shark tank, and on the show, Daymond shows a keen eye for great ideas and is not afraid to invest his own money in them.

Daymond's own story throughout this book of Fubu is one of sheer commitment and drive. Throughout Daymond's career. He's met and helped countless entrepreneurs and has put all of his great inspirational stories all into one read. The Power of Broke really teaches you how to think differently. Daymond challenges the reader to maneuver through obstacles with little to no cash.

For example, if you want to start a pop up shop like Daymond wanted to in order to sell his Fubu shirts and you don't have the ability to get the cash to do so, don't feel alone. Daymond has a handful of stories of misanthropic money ventures that went belly up early on in his career that you've never heard of.

So this book is going to help entrepreneurs understand that starting business on a limited budget can actually be your greatest competitive advantage. Daymond manifests his thoughts throughout this book and teaches you that having the mindset of not having money as an option, it can really help fuel your success because it forces you to think more creatively. It forces you to use your resources more efficiently and to market your ideas more imaginatively.

So, having this type of mindset forces you to stick to your plan and to try everything possible.

Daymond John is a very interesting guy and is very well known. This book was a terrific read. It's pretty short, only about 2.5 hours, but you will get so much out of it.

It is definitely worth the time.
