Book Review - "Email Attraction"

After seeing her speak at the Recruitment Agency Expo at Olympia earlier this month, I decided to buy Kim Arnold's book on how to write more effective emails. Here's my review.
Well written (as you'd expect!)
Some books have great content, but are a bit waffly and hard to read. You can tell this book is written by someone who values your time, and knows how to get to the point. In less than two hours, you'll get some clear pointers on how to improve the results you get from your emails. It even has some 'before and after' examples so you can see exactly how improvements can be made.
Why it matters
A nugget of information from Kim's presentation that is also in the book is that we will spend an average of 52,000 hours on email during our careers. That's SIX YEARS!
If more people read this book and send better emails, we ALL win! No more reply all emails that just say "thanks" (ugh!), no more waffly emails asking whether the email finds you well (they don't really care!), no more long and complex emails you have to re-read to get what they are actually on about (kill me now!)...

Key takeaways
Disclaimer: I don't get paid to write book reviews, I just choose to write them when I have read a book that I find valuable or interesting in some way. My reviews will often have a recruitment or a leadership slant, because those are two of my key areas of expertise in the training that I deliver.
I share book reviews and recommendations because I love receiving them, so if you've got a gem of a book you think I should read - let me know!
