Book Review: Animal Farm
I know most of us have read this book back in middle or high school but I thought I would re-read an old classic.
What is the book about??
Written by George Orwell, this book is a fairy-tale for grown-ups (more specifically, it's a dystopian novella). The fictitious story takes place on an animal farm run by a drunk who mistreats his animals. An uprising takes place and the animals (*cough-cough* just the pigs) take over and implement their own slogans and society. Little by little the pigs turn Animal Farm into the same as it ever was. It is a classic that implores many underlying messages on power, society, and rule.
Genre:?Dystopia, Classic, Fiction??

“Let's face it: our lives are miserable, laborious, and short.”
Dislikes:??
It is a bit difficult to articulate my dislikes because:
My dislike is the pace of the book, for me, it goes a bit slow and is repetitive (although I think this was intentional). I also dislike that you can very easily see what's coming or assume what will happen next.
Price:?Like $7 new on Amazon or $1 used (link below)
I Recommend This To:
I would say anyone who has never read Orwell or any Dystopia book.
Can you read this book before bed?
Yes
The Verdict:
?6/10 (Sorry, 1984 was better).
