Book Review-10-2020: The Parable of the Pipeline by Burke Hedges #honestbookreviews #nospoilers

I was looking for some personal financial advice and was searching for this kind of book. I came across this book through an article on Medium. It is a great source to find good books.

This book is a great piece of advice for overhauling your financial position. Of course, there is no shortcut and it takes hard work but in which direction is what this book describes. So in case, anyone is thinking that this is a “get rich quick” book, no, it is not and that is why I liked it because it is practical.

The message is encapsulated in a story and that makes the reading interesting. It is a very simple and short book and the beauty of the message of this book is in its simplicity. Simple writing, simple narration, no complex scenes or plots, and yet this book is capable of delivering a very powerful message. It can be an eye-opener for many, to some it would be a fairy tale, others might perceive it as a piece of friendly advice but in all circumstances, it will benefit the reader in some way or another.

I am at a loss of words while writing this review because I have never read such a short book that does the job!

I researched the author Mr. Burke Hedges, turns out that he is a network marketer himself and with seven books he travels across the world to promote his books and products, so I relate to him, he is a salesman like me. He is not your literary genius like Keigo Higashimo or Robin Sharma who produce consuming literature so thankfully he kept this book short and simple.

And that is how I am going to keep my review of this book. This is sweet read for anyone tired of living paycheck to paycheck. No big promises, this book will not make you a millionaire but might set you on a path like a “Rich Dad, Poor dad” or “The richest man in Babylon”. What matters is what you do after you read these books.

Thanks for reading my review. In case you stumbled upon a good book in my review series, do let me know.
