One of the things that always fascinates me is the Puranas. Being in the spiritual nation of Bharath, I always came across many interpretations of the same story. I want to tell you about the book NalaDamayanti by Anand Neelakantan that I just finished reading.
First of all, the story's goal was served by this book. The story's essential points were covered, and the intended message was conveyed.
I adored the storytelling approach and more involvement of Hemantha's character was a nice addition.
Then, I believe there are other inconsistencies in the narrative, such as the way Kali and Rituparna, two of the three gods, are portrayed.
The way the author depicted Kali, Indradeva, Agnideva, and Yamaraja particularly bugs me. I'm not clear why some characters like Varunadeva and Karkotaka were left out.
Overall, it delivers the message but depicts some of the characters very differently.
