Book recommendations for the ones with Big Ideas

Book recommendations for the ones with Big Ideas

It was a big week for us. We launched Oter on Product Hunt! This has been the result of hard work, good honest intentions and constant innovation and teamwork for us, and we are super proud and excited to hear from the community (on that note, do check out our launch and support us! ????)

We are creating a product that will help revolutionise the way the young mobile-first very busy audience of today reads and consumes content on the go. As we reached a milestone this week, we wanted to look back at some of the key ideas and useful books that inspire us and have been instrumental in our journey so far.?

Here are some book recommendations for those looking to bring an idea to life -

Zero to One by Peter Thiel and Blake Masters?

This must-read book explores the importance of creativity and originality in the business setting. Thiel stresses that the future belongs to those who use technology and innovation to do something new instead of replicating the success of those who have come before.?

The Lean Startup by Eric Ries

At the core of this book is the concept of testing and validating products you’re building to save time and maximise profit in the long run. The Lean Startup provides a blueprint for sustainable business growth and innovation.?

Hooked by Nir Eyal?

Nir Eyal explains the “Hook model” that many successful companies use to subtly encourage customer behaviour. Hooked is for product managers, designers, marketers, startup founders and anyone who seeks to understand how products influence our behaviour.??

Neuromarketing by Patrick Renvoise and Christophe Morin?

Explore how neuroscience techniques can be used by businesses to better understand the motivations and behaviour of customers. Read to understand how the brain works, how it influences purchase decisions and how businesses can use this knowledge to create better marketing strategies.?

Good to Great by Jim Collins?

Read to understand why some companies make it big while others don't. The book is a result of a five-year research project by a team of 21 researchers. In the book, Collins also touches on the importance of maintaining core values and sticking with them in the long run.

Read must-read highlights from these inspirational non-fiction books and many many others on Oter. See you on your road to success ??
