Many of us have struggled or are struggling with depression.?
I have experienced depression symptoms many times in my life, one being post-natal depression. My personal experience with antidepressants was not positive. Even though medication helped in the short term, it was not a sustainable solution for me. I didn′t want to depend on medication to deal with my emotions for the rest of my life or each time it happens. I wanted to find a sustainable approach that can address the root cause of the problem rather than the symptoms.
I have been to counselors, during such times. Some of them were great and some were not so much. As a tool, I have to say I was able to move forward with CBT- Cognitive Behavioural Therapy.
Of course, coaching has greatly changed my thought patterns and my ability to handle negative thoughts. But didn′t know about Life Coaching and NLP those days.
I was desperately looking for solutions as readily available conventional methods has failed me by then. I wanted a solution to prevent me from getting these symptoms?again.?Something that can help me to deal with my depressive thoughts.
Among many other things, I found in this journey, finding the book "The Depression Cure: The 6-Step Program to Beat Depression without Drugs" by Dr. Stephen S. Ilardi. , is a milestone in my life.

As a life coach, I highly recommend this book to anyone looking for a comprehensive approach to treating depression or anyone keen on a happier, healthier lifestyle. Please find and read the book. There is a lot more to the book than the six dot points above. The book goes in-depth into each of the bullets points with prescribed amounts.
