• 「 Why to do Book-matched 」

The book-match collage is a symmetrical splicing of the same vein of marble, which has a strong tension and expressiveness, and easily creates a luxurious atmosphere. The slabs designed for book-match and mirror image need to be polished at both front and back sides. And there are double spells, four spells, eight spells or even more in common marble splicing. Two slabs can spell out dozens of schemes. 

Usually, stone splicing are made of marble, onyx, and granite etc. with strong veins. It can spell out magnificent textures or patterns that make people fall in love at first sight.

• 「Notes on the Book-match 」

Please note that when a piece of slab rotates 180 degrees, its vein orientation is still the same.

For example, when above Piece A1 is rotated by 180 degrees and 90 degrees respectively, the vein direction keeps the same by 180 degrees rotation, but 90 degrees differs.

A lot of stone masters often mix this problem when processing, especially when the slabs with haitang edge, chicken mouth or other processing technic, the wrong way of putting vein line causes process error, and then it cannot achieve original design requirement and all become invalid! (As for stone with veins, stone processing factories generally require dry lay at least twice to avoid processing errors.)

In particular, when requiring large area pattern design, even if one piece is designed wrongly, the whole area will have to be replaced, and that takes cost.
