Hello dear leader and reader,

As we approach International Women's Day and celebrate Women's History Month, I'm reflecting on how much the world needs balanced leadership right now. The nurturing, empathetic, and creative forces often associated with feminine leadership are more than just 'nice to have'—they're essential to building cultures where people truly thrive.

We live in a time where competitive, zero-sum thinking often undermines real collaboration. Too many of us have navigated workplaces where all of us play by outdated rules that prioritize short-term wins and politics over lasting impact, leading to wasted energy, eroded trust, and cultures of stagnation. My work—and my book, Creating Culture: Empowered Leadership for Systems Change—is about changing this narrative through my personal stories changing rules of play inside Boeing and other amazing leaders who have changed the nature of the game!

It's about building countercultures that break free from the status quo. Where leaders leverage empathy, transparency, and creativity to create environments where people feel safe, engaged, and inspired. When we intentionally cultivate safety and tune our organizations to a higher frequency of connection, we unlock the kind of flow state where real learning, creativity, and collaboration thrive.
