Cedric Price (1934–2003) was an English architect, architectural writer and teacher. After his studies at Oxford University and at the Architectural Association School of Architecture in London he worked in several offices, including Fry, Drew, Drake and Lasdun. In 1960 he opened his own practice. His designs for the Fun Palace and the Potteries Thinkbelt gained him early popularity. Characteristic to his work was his technology-driven approach, in which architecture was designed to change and adapt to its users’ needs. His working relationships included the architect and inventor Buckminster Fuller, the theatrical director Joan Littlewood, and architectural historian Reyner Banham.  Of his major projects, only one has survived to date. Yet he proved rather influential on contemporary architectural debates through his teaching and writings. In particular the Fun Palace projects (none realized) as well as the Inter-Action Centre (1971- 2003) continue to affect and inspire many architects, such as Richard Rogers and Renzo Piano, whose Centre Georges Pompidou in Paris reflects on many of Price's ideas.
