BOOK LAUNCH QUEENSCLIFF

Mission: Angela by Denise Main

Mission: Angela was launched in style with raised glasses and cheers, by the large group of well-wishers at the historic Circa 1902 in Queenscliff on July 24th.

Ian Chisholm introduced author Denise Main with a succinct overview of her background and what lead her to write the spy/love story; Mission: Angela.

Johann of Feather Knight Books added how he came to see the potential of the story set in the 1974 Cold War period and the search for freedom from an oppressive occupier.

Denise spoke of her journey writing a fiction that involved bringing characters to life, putting words into their mouths, hopes and dreams into their minds. How she manoeuvred and placed them in dangerous, high-risk situations in a hostile land and escaping the long arm of tyranny in a far corner of the Earth which unfolded in Point Lonsdale and Queenscliff, Victoria, Australia.

Denise thanked her family and friends for their encouragement and support in writing the story, and seeing it in print, and all wanted a copy of their own and as a gift for others. A special thanks of gratitude was for Caroline Mullarkey Director of Feather Knight Books for her patience, professionalism and encouragement on every step of the way.
