Book I: Gently Falls the Bakula

If Tokyo Story is one movie you have to watch if you can watch only one movie in your life then after re-reading Gently Falls the Bakula today I would say Gently Falls the Bakula is the one book you have to read if you are entitled to read only one book in your life. Like Tokyo story, Gently falls the Bakula is the book written for us by one of us on the sensibilities of relationship. I wish everyone has to read the book because it is timeless. As long as the relationships are there in this world this will stand out as Bhagavad Gita for Goodness in relationship. Sudha Murthy with her brevity in words and Elegance in Storytelling showcase how "absence" of Love, response and Affection affect the relationships and how longing for Love breakdown once patience and make them attack individual Freedoms and how centre stage self interest and over ambition create stir in everyone's life. Through Srimathi and Srikanth lives Sudha Murthy clearly portrayed the sensibilities of relationship. In simple writing Sudha Murthy represented how routine, grantednees and ambition replace Love, Care and Affection which are there in early stages of every relationship. With history as subject Mrs. Murthy intelligently showcased when finally the longing for certain feelings broken then person love to live in glory of their past and how it make them to chase it breaking their precious bond. In Saying "Once upon a time, all of them were so close to each other but now, everyone was in their own world." Sudha Murthy tells us how fame, Money and Profession claiming our United worlds and making us powerless.

When Srikanth and Srimathi are fighting each other representing their individual freedoms Mrs. Murthy says "War is not the only solution" I felt like Shri and Srimathi lost many chances to unite and finally fighting against each other. What an irony! Srimathi is beautiful in her character and she deserve more in life with Srikanth. Professor Collins, Vandana, Pramod and Harish characters are well written and they clearly depicted what Srikanth and Srimathi needed in their life. By letting us know "Nobody tells the truth about their family life. Most husbands and wives put on the appearance of being perfectly matched!" Mrs. Murthy tells us the secret through the book.

She let's us know "How much you grow in life don't forget to be Shri always". "Love, Care, Share Ideas and Dreams always irrespective of age that makes relationship keep going" Finally Gently Falls the Bakula bids us adieu by saying "Don't be Strangers under one roof make others feel Strangers when you are together" That should be relationship goal every couple should learn from Gently Falls the Bakula. What a Wonderful Book it is. What a wonderful writer she is. What a wonderful lesson I learned today for Life. A Must Read.
