Book European Defence and Military Plan in Light of the Russo-Ukrainian War

Russia's war against Ukraine changed a number of views on the practical way of conducting a military conflict, combat doctrines, the use of military means, logistics and communication. The thinking so far was focused on cyber warfare carried out remotely without too much involvement of ground troops. Analyzes of military strategies led to generalizations. They ignored the experience of conventional warfare between states. The brutality and aggression of the invaders in the occupied territories were not considered a factor in the struggle in the 21st century. The actions taken by the Russian Federation on February 24, 2022 imply the defense of Ukraine and the NATO states supporting Ukrainian independence. The issues of the course of the conflict and the ability to conduct it are currently the basis of current assessments and conclusions drawn based on them.

Current experiences and lessons learned indicate the need to perceive the military doctrine of the Russian Federation as a new factor redefining the defense policy of the West. NATO countries adapt the form of experiences acquired in many domains to their approach to the art of war.
