Books are your best friends. When you have a question, when something pressing you, they help you to get a solace.
I have committed myself- to read at least 100 meaningful books in 2025. In the series, I decided to pen down my thought on the book. The 7th book of 2025 is from Robin Sharma Who will cry when you die. Though, I always fascinated from Robin Sharma and the first book that I read from him was - The Saint, The Surfer and the CEO and loved his style of writing.
This book was in my pending list since long and thought to finish and relate this with the life I am living.
This book is a must read for everyone, specially the people who think that nothing can change in their life, who think that there is nothing left in their life to do.
The opening of the book starts with:
"THE TRAGEDY OF LIFE IS NOT DEATH, BUT WHAT WE LET DIE INSIDE OF US WHILE WE LIVE."
- NORMAN COUSINS
This itself has profound meaning. When I posted the status in my WhatsApp status after reading the books, I got quite a few response from the people. The response was fascinating.
Now coming to the book, why should you read this book, the book has 101 advice for us

Robin Sharma's book Who Will Cry When You Die offers 101 life lessons that inspire and guide individuals to lead a meaningful and fulfilling life. Each lesson in the book is a stepping stone toward becoming a better version of ourselves, and for me, the very first lesson has always resonated deeply.
The lesson reminds me of the timeless words of Kabir: "Kabira, jab hum paida huye, jag hanse aur hum roye. Aisi karni kar chalo ki hum hanse jag roye." This philosophy has shaped the way I live my life. It emphasizes the importance of leading a life of such impact that when we leave, the world mourns our absence. I strive to live each day in a way that builds a legacy, so that my contributions, kindness, and actions will be remembered long after I'm gone.
One of the most powerful lessons in the book encourages us to "Be kinder to strangers every day." Reflecting on my life, I realize how profound this advice is. Throughout my journey, I have encountered numerous strangers whose kindness left an indelible mark on my heart. One such instance occurred during my trip to Saudi Arabia. At Jeddah Airport, my credit card failed to work, and I found myself without cash to purchase even a bottle of water. A kind local, whom I had never met before, noticed my predicament and generously paid for my water. This act of kindness stayed with me, inspiring me to pay it forward whenever I could. There are countless moments in my life where strangers have come to my aid, and in return, I have made it a point to extend the same generosity to others.
Another key lesson from the book is to "Read books wherever you go." This piece of advice resonates with me deeply, as I have always used my travel time to indulge in reading. Whether on long flights, daily commutes, or waiting in line, I immerse myself in books that expand my knowledge and perspective. Often, people ask me how I manage to do so many things in my life, and I simply smile. The secret lies in making the most of my time. Every moment presents an opportunity to learn, grow, and improve.
Robin Sharma's teachings have not only guided me but have also reinforced my belief in leading a purposeful life. Whether it's through acts of kindness, continuous learning, or meaningful relationships, the lessons from Who Will Cry When You Die serve as a gentle reminder to live a life that truly matters. In the end, it's not about the wealth we accumulate or the milestones we achieve; it's about the impact we leave behind in the hearts of others.
As I continue my journey, I am committed to living by these 101 principles—to be kind, to keep learning, and to make every day count, spend time with kids, to be grateful. Ultimately, I hope that when my time comes, I will leave behind a legacy of love, kindness, and inspiration for those whose lives I have touched.
