The Bones Will Rattle

God hears. God sees. God breathes. Go read Ezekiel 37.

Are you standing your ground for a new decision you have made in regard to your faith? Are you leading a new initiative at your company? Are you casting vision for a new season of ministry in the life of your church?

In the midst of an uncertain time in Ezekiel's ministry and in the life of ancient Israel, God gives him a vision of a valley full of dry, bleached out bones. DEATH. God orders him to do the unthinkable..."Prophesy to these bones!" Ezekiel obeys...and the bones began to rattle.

When we obey, bones WILL rattle!

Don't be discouraged by rattling bones. What a cacophony it must have been in that valley to hear all those rattling bones. God supernaturally brought the bones together because Ezekiel OBEYED. God partners with our obediance! Bones still rattle today when God wants to raise an army, birth a new church, start a new organization, restore a marriage, bring His plan into existence. It can feel unsettling. It can feel chaotic. But this is necessary for the next phase of God's plan.

...then God breathes new life into us.

After God clothes the bones with flesh, Ezekiel speaks life into them once more and then God does something that is deeply significant. He BREATHES into them. All the effort in the world adds up to nothing if God does not breath into our lives, our plans, and our relationships.

Friends, even hopeless situations can turn around when God breathes. Jesus defeated even death in order to release his Holy Spirit into ALL who would call on His name. We have access to this resurrection power in our lives.

Do we want God to breathe life into us?

Obey him.

Let the bones rattle.

Then prepare for a new season of life breathed by the Spirit of God into your situation.
