BON PEOPLE: MEET GARETH VENNER, GROUP SALES DIRECTOR

BON Hotel’s Group Sales Director, Gareth Venner, fell in love with the hospitality industry when he was still at school and working for a small catering company that specialised in weddings and events. Today, more than 25 years later, Gareth has worked across various sectors and in a number of different roles, and he’s still loving every minute. He puts it down to the ever-changing, dynamic nature of the industry, but also the people he gets to work with. And it’s this genuine passion for fostering connections, nurturing relationships and building partnerships that sets him apart.

And while Gareth is revelling in the return of face-to-face meetings, he believes that the conventional conference setups of old are now a thing of the past – you need to consider everything from room setups to meeting agendas, food, downtime, and the rhythm of the event with the wishes and wellness of delegates top of mind. For Gareth, it has to be a memorable experience for everyone involved, and that means thinking outside of the box to deliver innovative conferences and events.
