Culture at Bolo Live: We are a Sports Team
Organization’s culture has been defined at multiple places in different ways. For us at?Bolo Live (Formerly Bolo Indya), it has a simple definition from a source: How we do what we do at workplace.?
Even in the ever-evolving pandemic times, few foundational stones remain the same, topped with a layer to cater to the situation thrown at us by the uncontrollable.?
Foundation Stone:
We are a Sports Team.?
1. Every player is important: Like a sports team, just one individual cannot always make the team succeed for consistent leadership. Every player has to up the game, every player has to know their role, and execute on the ground. Similarly, we at Bolo understand and communicate the importance of each and everyone to know their role, their part and impact in the longer journey of the company, the importance of executing fast, learning from failures even faster and the need to constantly improve ourselves even if just 1% everyday, rather than being too overwhelmed by what others are doing.?
2. Play to win: Results do matter at the end of the day. We understand this internally and thrive to take the actions in the direction. Your eye has to be on nothing but being the leader in the field and then ensuring to sustain the leadership. (Just like World Cup winners, Global Ranked 1s are the dream of any player who starts playing). You may win at times, you may not win at times; but the attitude to play which we have as a team at Bolo is what defines us. We did see some of the harshest times as well as a team, but adapted to come out of them stronger, more mature and much more efficient with a clearer focus. After all, do not ever give up is the first step to ensure you are playing to win.?

3. No one is irreplaceable: Sports teach us in the most effective manner that no one is ever irreplaceable. Similarly, we don’t treat ourselves as bigger than others. We do not get complacent at any point in time about ourselves, our role, and our learnings. A failure does not lead to being replaced, it is the attitude of being okay with failure as a habit is that should not ever come to any of us.
Coming to the dynamic layer:
1. Transparent, Sharing and Rewarding: When it comes to our growth or performance, we maintain a transparent environment. Simultaneously, sharing the ownership of success as we grow and being rewarding to all the team members is what unites us in our mission to create a positive impact in the lives of millions of content creators.
2. Mental health: We trust our team members when they say that they need a break for a few hours or for a day. We do not ask them reasons. We have built that internal mutual trust that no one misuses.
3. Having each other’s back: Standing by our team members during some of the hardest personal times is what has bonded us even stronger out of pandemic. Even at times when one is down professionally, we need to buckle them up, motivate them to realize their true potential and achieve it.
