Last year we shared The Bold Content Calendar For 2022 as our first email campaign of the year and it was so well widely received, we couldn't not drop a revised 2023 version!

The goal of this social media content calendar was to inspire content ideas so that it made planning that little bit easier, or for those that have a dedicated role for marketing and socials to give some added inspiration whilst capitalizing on hot trending topics that may have slipped under the radar to go alongside business-critical content.

Firstly let's remind you WHY you should use a content calendar or scheduler like Hootsuite.

Calendars are essential for organising editorial content and marketing projects so you can:

? Be More Organised

? Be More Successful

More (Good) Content = More Engagement = More Reach = More Followers = Increased Buy-In

So let's start with some tips and tricks before sharing the months of the calendar!

? When posting content to socials and mentioning a brand/company you’ve worked with, always tag them or the individual using the @ sign as somebody reposting or commenting helps expose you to their followers and the great work you have done.

? Most companies aim to post twice a week minimum - you may already have some structured themes you push out across socials. This calendar will help you with some more fun and outside-the-box posts to help you on your way, with a few recruitment-specific ones for good measure!

?If you're trying to sell and push your services via social media then try and only do so less than once a week. If your connections feel like you're always trying to sell to them, without already warming them up through insightful portfolio or fun work culture based content you will turn them off. Likewise, new users are much less likely to follow you if it looks like a sell fest!

NOTE: ONE OF THE FASTEST WAYS TO GROW YOUR FOLLOWING WITH RELEVANT PEOPLE IS TO GIVE VALUE!

? Consider including your website URL or logo on any social media graphics you post that is generated not organic content as a watermark. The goal is to ultimately lead people back to your site if someone shares your content on their social media platform.

? Follow or connect with those who are following your competitors and industry-specific public figures who could be potential suitors. Follow or connect with your clients or candidates - they're near enough guaranteed a follow back! Then after a few days/weeks invite them to follow your LinkedIn business page!

? Make sure you're posting all publicity, success stories, testimonials, new and exciting services you're rolling out etc.

? Instagram has lowered the reach of stories for those who repost a lot as it's found it quite "spammy". Consider reformatting and sharing the content that you posted to your story as a fresh story post instead. More people will see it, and as a result, will generate more engagement, meaning you'll get more reach!

This one is maybe the best of them all because it will save you a TON of time.

All of those wonderful value pieces guides, case studies, long-form content etc. Yep, those that go out via email marketing or on your website's blog, and often don't get the attention they deserve for the time put into them...

? Reformat them into short-form content for other channels. Take this content calendar for example. We could break this down into twelve separate pieces of content from each month, and repurpose that for social media if we really wanted to.

If you post two times a week on your companies socials that's six weeks worth of content right there before these tips!

First things first - we have to be very honest. We are posting a calendar in February. That means we've obviously already missed a month.

Our (genuine) excuse? There's been so many plans flying around to implement this year we didn't get it written up on LinkedIn in time!

? Show Off Any Amazing Customer Service To A Client You Are Made Aware Of

? Sustainability/Eco-Friendly Practices

? Any Major Changes In Work Arrangements (Working From Home, 4 Day Week etc)

? Any Awards The Company Has Been Nominated For
