PR Tip
This month’s PR tip comes from Senior PR Account Executive, Fay Austen !
“Can’t find the contact you are looking for? X (formerly Twitter) is the place to go! Not only is it still one of the main platforms you can use to keep a finger on the pulse of current events - despite a dodgy algorithm or two – it is a fantastic way to find journalist requests for information. Journalists regularly shout out looking for contributors or experts on the #journorequest hashtag, and I’ve managed to secure some great coverage for clients using it. Similarly, you can use X to reverse search the contacts you are looking for. Want to find a Times editor? Simply type the publication handle into the search box, add “editor” after it and then refine your search to “People” only. You’ll be surprised how easy it is to find the subject editor you’ve been trying to track down. However you feel about X as a platform, it's undeniably a great PR tool.”
