With over three decades of significant expansion since opening their first MediCare pharmacy, the group has maintained a community-led ethos, notes their financial director, Michael Geddis.

MediCare’s investment in innovation has complemented this community and customer focused approach with technology assisting their highly trained pharmacist and pharmacy technicians with day-to-day tasks. Geddis cites their robotic technology as an example of this with it improving the speed, efficiency and accuracy of the dispensing services we provide that, on average, dispenses over 100,000 prescription items per week.

Our engineering team was afforded this opportunity to prove our reliability from the very beginning. With 54 locations across Northern Ireland, they needed to roll out over 90 integrated terminals.

Over a short period of time we integrated our card terminals across all MediCare’s premises. Our field engineers worked with MediCare’s team to get our payment solution up and running, giving them the guidance and support they needed to use our payment solution with confidence from the very start.

For Geddis, this level of service was a key differentiator when trusting BOIPA for their card payment requirements.
