Boiling Things Down to Their Pure Essentials
Boil it down, then boil it down again...
until you get to the good stuff. This applies to messaging and to process flow. Get rid of fluff. Refine to what really matters, and then focus your efforts on those specific items that have the greatest impact and/or must get done.
In other words: Keep it simple, stupid.
Here are 3 keys to keeping it simple:
1. Define what you want to achieve
2. Identify the steps needed to get there
3. Do only what’s necessary to complete those steps
By boiling things down to their essentials, you can streamline your process, save time and energy, and achieve greater clarity and focus. So the next time you find yourself stuck in a rut, ask yourself: What are the bare essentials? And then go do those things.
