Boersens board education, Team: 2024 -1.

Participating in Boersen’s Board Education at CBS Executive, Copenhagen Business School.

It is an immense pleasure to take part in Boersen’s board education program, hosted at the facilities of CBS Executive within Copenhagen Business School.

The student teams exhibit remarkable knowledge and open-mindedness, making it equally delightful to sit and explore the various perspectives. Different individuals perceive the dilemmas presented by the faculty from unique angles, enriching the learning experience.

I must confess my admiration for the faculty. Their collective expertise and extensive experiences leave a lasting impression. Listening to their discussions and conclusions is an enlightening endeavor. Simultaneously, the teamwork and introduced tasks are grounded in realism, providing valuable insights into the challenges faced by board members and chairs.

Moreover, the program offers a comprehensive overview of the responsibilities and subjects that qualified board members engage with. It also underscores the expectations placed upon board members and the chair.

Although I’ve only scratched the surface with the first module, I eagerly anticipate the subsequent ones. This education immerses us in the full spectrum of responsibilities expected from a qualified board member, both now and in the future.

However, a lingering question remains: How can one qualify for board positions in medium and large companies? It often appears that membership in the “old boys network” remains a prerequisite for achieving this so-called qualification.
