In the teenage years of growing into our skin, we were bombarded by rapidly shifting hormones, bodies we were high jacked by comparison and finding our way through the darkness. I recall doing Jane Fonda workouts with my bestie at 14 years old. Thankfully, there was zero social media to add to what was already going on behind closed doors.

B O D Y S H A M E was as aspect of the game of life for me to Transform - SHAMELESS

B O D Y G U I L T was an aspect of the game of life to transcend- FREEDOM of CHOICE

B O D Y S E L F - L O A T H I N G was the path to U N V E I L my gifts- 'SELF-LOVE'

I feel it is more vital than ever as an adult and parent, to be a healthy role model for our children and even more importantly for the reflection you get to greet every day!

This is me at 20 years old in France

This was 28 years ago.

On the inside I was lost - angry- a fighter- confused, and wondering;

“Why me?”

A journey of the battling bulimic behind closed doors from 17-35 years old. I also found a way to STOP this habit & addiction.

Self-harm became me go-to to feel beyond the numbness, punching

walls with my fists and head, until the noise stopped. I was suffocating slowly, on the INSIDE.

• A lost young woman in a downward spiral of shame- blame- self-loathing and hate.
• A body suit that was in self-protect mode, post rape & abusive relationships.
• Many years of yo-yo dieting - taking drugs to numb and feel some kind of freedom from the inner torment in my head.
• The alcohol with no insight of when I’d had enough - vomit or blackout.
• I had this energy spiralling out of control with no idea how to navigate it, let alone release it.
• Layers of trauma upon trauma that would be a foundation for more to stack on top.. until I was 32 years old.

Body image is deeper than the skin, it’s a story that begins in the mind. Eating or not eating is a way to control. I was addicted to PAIN.

Everyone sees me as I now am, as I had to grow into my skin- to love me from the inside out, to LOVE even the sin I was feeling inside. This is an aspect to my colourful past, there was more darkness and lessons that followed.

I hid and even threw away these PHOTOS, felt shame and as I sit here now and share all aspects of a woman that is here to INSPIRE many others, to break-free of the inner turmoil inside. I E M B R A C E and love this phase as these lessons of suffering and pain would carve me into who I am, and that I would NEVER C H A N G E.

• To understand people beyond the physical skin and see you for whom you are!
• An aspect to this healing path to guide others back to self- to rewire the mind- release trauma- reset the body and return to love??

• Reach out if you freeze during intimacy and feel there is more to life.

We are learning to be human and this is a path back to the limitless and beautiful you.
