That feels better right?
As we approach the warmer months, it's certainly getting lighter outside.
And, I don't know about you, but just having some more light sure helps my mood. Winter seems so long and with lots of the rain in the UK, I'm very happy to see lighter nights.
I have been consistently training throughout. And, I know for many people, that getting started is always the hardest step. If I remember back to when I was 19 years old, overweight and feeling miserable. I had to do something and stepping inside a gym was scary as hell.
But, what kept me going was seeing results with consistency. That's the real secret to anything. Especially training/exercise or whatever you want to call it.
Results DO NOT happen overnight, and I think for many if they don't see an instant result, motivation disappears.
If you set that new year goal to be more healthy/do some exercise/eat better.
Then where are you now, four months in?
Don't worry...
I'm not one of those personal trainers all blabbering the same stuff, telling you to go hard or go home, no pain no gain, excuses don't make results....
That's all bullshit talk, right? Ego driven in most cases.
When you truly find the courage to do something about the problem, add in consistency and enjoy the process, the results will follow.
I recently had a new clients before Christmas.
Paddy Considine, he told me of stories that his old trainer was making him worse, thousands of burpees, and other exercises that were not going to make a difference to his outcomes that he wanted.
And now in April, Paddy is virtually pain-free he looks strong and his spine has never been so straight (his words).

Training for me in my 40's, isn't about vanity metrics, it isn't about how much weight I can lift and compare to all the bros.
It's about moving well, being strong and being pain free. And, if that is something I can educate my clients in. Whether that is through 121 coaching, on the treatment table or sending out social media posts that is a good outcome.
Hey, I've seen some strong people who don't even lift weights, for instance one of my clients who is a farmer, wow!
But, we all age and we all start to experience our body falling apart slowly.
That's why weight training has always been important to me.
Stay strong and you'll move so much better in the later years :).
What is coming up at the Body Fix Coach in the next few months?
We have our first workshop booked in for May. The Body Fix Workshop has been something I have been working on for a couple of years.
After sitting as home during covid. I was starting to fall apart. And I thought to myself, "how must those people who sit for long hours feel?"
So, some planning, some help from people and I finally have a workshop set up and ready to go.
I am actually super excited to show people how simple it can be to stay out of pain.
The most recent stats are up on last year. With 185.6 million hours lost due to injury or sickness. This equates to 5.7 days per worker.
How much does that cost a company?
We have a detailed set of slides, if you are a business owner reading this and would like to know more. You can drop me a message on LinkedIn or send me an email to [email protected]
That is it for todays newsletter.
Have a great rest of the week!

10 个月So excited about the workshop. Having spent a lot of my life sitting in offices, I see so many people struggle with aches and pains from sitting too long. Then occupational health spends a fortune on special chairs that make no difference and lead to arguments when people borrow/steal them from their desks. I know this workshop will save on that wasted cost as well as reduce the levels of sickness within the workforce, resulting in an excellent ROI.
