A few days ago, I watched the film A Complete Unknown, about the life of Bob Dylan. There is so much to say about this legendary songwriter and poet. His music touches and inspires some, while others may not find it as appealing. But beyond personal taste in melodies, one thing is undeniable, his unique character and uncompromising path through life.

The title of the film speaks for itself. Bob Dylan started from a simple background, inspired by a few musicians who guided his first steps. He was gifted, there’s no doubt about that. But talent alone is rarely enough. It was his determination, his patience, and his unyielding will to follow his own path that made him an icon.

There is an important lesson in this. We often look at successful people and assume their journey was easy, that they were born with a special gift that made everything easy.
