Brokerage Spotlight: Results for September 2024
The value of brokerage yacht sales (24 metres and above) in September 2024 was more than three times that of August 2024, having reached a total of €354 million compared to the previous month’s €111.2 million. The increase was largely thanks to the start of the European boat show season, with further momentum likely to come from the upcoming Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show. According to BOATPro, the most expensive sale for the month of September was Lürssen’s 90-metre Phoenix 2, which had been asking €125 million with joint central agents Burgess and Cecil Wright.?

Speaking to BOATPro, marketing manager Sarah Flavell reveals the Dutch yard's pioneering role in the yacht support segment and how these vessels play into the company's wider strategy.?
“Our support vessels derive from the fast offshore support vessels that we build under [Damen Shipyards Group] for the commercial and military markets. In terms of yachting, we were the first builder to actually produce a purpose-built support yacht and since then, have maintained a very strong majority market share.” – Sarah Flavell?
