Board Series: Terry Brown

Terry Lovell Brown, Sr. is the Senior Pastor at Liberty Baptist Church in South LA and Judson Baptist Church in Carson. He serves on the Imagine LA Board as a member of the Community Engagement Committee and is a staunch ILA Community Champion. His constant compassion and enthusiasm help Imagine LA stay true to our roots in faith communities.?Pastor Brown has spoken at countless churches, revivals and colleges across the country and opened Liberty Baptist's doors to host ILA’s Back-to-School Bash family fun event earlier this month.?

When asked about serving on the Board, Pastor Brown emphasized empathy, citing “the ability to walk in somebody else’s shoes.” To recognize the trauma of those who are unhoused and then feel the joy of finally being housed and properly supported.?????

He says, "I love that Imagine LA comes alongside our families to provide critical services and support, based on the power of relationships, to maximize opportunities for our families to thrive. I am honored to offer my time, talent, and treasure to help heal the hurts of humanity!"?
