Southwest Airlines adds BNA flight

Southwest is adding another nonstop flight into Nashville.

The Louisville Regional Airport Authority announced that Southwest Airlines will add direct service from Louisville to Music City.

The new flights add to Southwest’s continued expansion in Nashville. The Dallas-based company is the largest airline serving Nashville. Nearly 11 million Southwest customers flew through BNA from July 2022 to July 2023, according to Business Journal research.

Former offensive lineman tackles new role

A Franklin-based wealth management firm has new leadership.

Winston Justice is now CEO of SageSpring Private Wealth, a new division of Franklin-based SageSpring Wealth Partners , formerly Southwestern Investment Group.

Justice is tasked with leading SageSpring’s strategic growth initiatives, which include expanding its advisory platform, developing alternative investment solutions and launching a multifamily office and institutional business verticals, according to a news release.

Before joining SageSpring, Justice served as a vice president at Nashville-based AllianceBernstein , where he managed assets for family offices, entrepreneurs and nonprofits. Prior to his financial career, Justice was an NFL offensive lineman. |? Read more

Broadway honky-tonk hits the market

A Lower Broadway honky-tonk is back on the market at a discounted price.

The building home to Lucky Bastard Saloon is listed for sale for $58.82 million, according to a new LoopNet listing.

In February, the Broadway bar was put on the market with an asking price of $66.5 million, marking an 11% decrease in price.

The four-story building is currently owned by Pennsylvania-based Deville Corp., according to Metro records. The firm purchased the property in 2005 for $2.35 million.

Health care giant to launch tech system

While growth is at the forefront of CEO David Dill ’s mind going into 2025, so is technology.?

Lifepoint Health? will be implementing a new comprehensive and enterprise-wide business services platform in the new year, Dill told the Business Journal.?

“We have a lot of our support functions, human capital, finance, supply chain, sitting on a lot of different platforms,” Dill said. “To give us better line of sight so we can continue to grow the company, we're implementing a new system and we'll go live 2025.”

The company as a whole has been leaning into innovation. In 2021, Lifepoint partnered up with New York-based venture studio 25madison to create 25m Health , a health-tech startup incubator, here in Nashville.

Investing in technology and innovation is a core part of Lifepoint’s strategy, according to Dill, who said its required to be successful in the industry today.?? |? Read more

Legacy Nashville contractor names CEO

One of Nashville’s largest private companies has a new leader.

Rogers Group Inc. has promoted Jimmy Patton from chief financial officer to president and CEO, according to a news release, following a national search.

Patton has served as interim CEO since Darin Matson resigned in July 2023. A nearly 30-year veteran of the company, Patton has served in the CFO role for the past 14 years.

The 116-year-old company — which owns quarries, mines and plants that produce crushed stone, sand, gravel and asphalt — is one of the area’s largest private companies, with $750 million in 2020 revenue, the last year the company provided revenue to the Business Journal.? |? Read more
