Original note: 199.2 inches (+3.4 inches) in length, 74.8 inches (+1.3 inches) in width, and 59.6 inches (+1.4 inches) in height. The wheelbase has also increased by 0.8 inches to 117.9 inches;
2. A brand new exterior design, but the area of the renal meshwork is preserved and not radical. The overall appearance is more sporty compared to the current 5 Series. The semi hidden door handle and the transition between the C-pillar and the trunk are also smoother, which is beneficial for reducing wind resistance;
3. BMW stated that the i5 provides the same interior space as the fuel version 5 series, and the i5 battery does not occupy any interior space;
4. On the interior, a 12.3-inch LCD instrument panel and a 14.9-inch central control screen; IDrive 8.5 operating system with new graphical display and zero level menu, allowing for simple and intuitive touch operation.

6. The BMW i5 adopts a CLAR flexible platform architecture, which is shared with internal combustion engine, mild hybrid, and plug-in hybrid 5 series models;
7. The i5 eDrive40 can provide 335 horsepower and 400 Newton meters of torque, and can provide 429 Newton meters of torque when activating the Sport Boost or Lanch Control functions. It can accelerate from 0 to 60 mile per hour in 5.7 seconds and reach the electronic maximum speed of 120 mile per hour (193 kph).
8. The i5 M60 xDrive features dual front and rear motors, providing 590 horsepower and 743 Nm of torque. When activating the M Sport Boost or M Launch Control functions, it can provide 819 Nm of torque. It takes 3.7 seconds to accelerate from 0 to 60 mile per hour, and the maximum speed can reach 143 mph (230 km) with high-performance tires.
9. The i5 eDrive40 and i5 M60 xDrive are both powered by high-voltage batteries with a usable capacity of 84.3 kilowatt hours, with DC fast charging of up to 205 kilowatts, which can fully charge the battery from 10% to 80% in approximately 30 minutes.
10. The driving range of i5 eDrive40 on standard 19 inch wheels is 475 kilometers (EPA), while the driving range of i5 M60 xDrive is 412 kilometers (EPA);

Introduction to the new car
The exterior design of BMW's all-new 5 Series breaks away from the calm style of the current model and leans more towards sportiness and youthfulness. The protruding feature lines on the hood are more aggressive, while the size of the double kidney grille is not exaggerated. The headlight design is also more sharp, and the vertically designed LED daytime running lights have a significant change from the current model, making them more recognizable.
