BMW 635 CLX by CARLEX - only 7 examples!

With great pleasure, we present a new limited edition of the BMW 635 project by our workshop, featuring a unique and perfected model from the 1980s. The car presented below is a 1986 model and is the first of seven cars that will undergo meticulous refinement to create an unparalleled collection of classic BMWs from Carlex.

Hand-patinated details Our goal was to enhance this beautiful coupe to the extent that it could provide maximum enjoyment for its future owner in daily use while possessing all the characteristics of a collector's vehicle. That's why we chose the BMW E 24 model - we considered it one of the most beautiful coupes and one of the first to offer very comfortable daily usability. Besides its stunning body, the car is a joy to drive, equipped with air conditioning, power controls, and an almost indestructible, excellent engine.

The intention was to create a practical work of functional art for classic car enthusiasts. We focused primarily on the driver's comfort, so our work included improving the suspension for more precision while maintaining comfort at all costs, enhancing the interior using materials of unparalleled quality, and building a good audio system that allows for music playback from modern sources and apps – here, of course, we aimed to conceal the equipment in a discreet location. Additionally, the car has been equipped with beautiful new wheels.

The entire interior has undergone a thorough modification with masterful precision. The meticulously planned and appropriately chosen color scheme gives the interior a subtle class, and in every smallest detail, you can see the craftsmanship perfection. The hand-patinated leather elements, characteristic of our workshop's recent work, deserve special attention.

You probably know patinating leather from high-quality custom-made footwear and luxury accessories. Fascinated by this craft, we decided to bring it into the world of beautiful automotive craftsmanship. We enlisted the knowledge of the best, and that's how Mr. Andrzej Olender, the Vice World Champion in this trade, introduced us to the secrets of the craft. If you're going to develop, do it in good company!

Patination is a process aimed at giving leather the appearance of natural aging, done subtly and elegantly. Thanks to patination, the leather gains a unique character. However, the process requires knowledge of the craft, a tremendous amount of work, and a high level of craftsmanship. Leather finished in this way becomes increasingly beautiful and more noble over time with proper use.
