Blurb writing Part 2
Blurb writing part 2, did a little studying after writing the first piece, the points that popped up again and again are these :
1. Keep them simple!
Don’t forget that blurbs travel across world, you can never tell who will pick up your book. Unless of course you have a target audience in your mind and them mostly write your blurbs in simplest language and keep in mind all age groups and literary skills (of your readers).
2. Blurbs should be short. People usually pick up a book and read the blurb on a go. They are already eying the next book with a catchy cover. So keep it short, as interesting as possible. Do pay attention to the start, because most websites show a few lines of the blurb and rest is shown if only the reader clicks "Read more".
3. Read other writer's blurbs. You will always learn from them.
4. Find out the piece of your book that will captivate your readers and share it in your blurb.
5. Is there a story worth telling in your book? Give a hint!
