You’ve been through years of school, college and sometimes university preparing you for “real life”. Sat numerous exams, made lots of friends and after much deliberation you’ve decided on a career. Now despite everything you’ve learnt in all your various classes, there are a few points that your teachers probably left out when giving you sugar coated information about the world over the years.
- The world owes you nothing and you are entitled to nothing.
- Complaining about things changes nothing, only actions do.
- If you want something then you need focus, dedication and the will to work you ass off. Ability means fuck all without the right attitude.
- Nobody’s gives the perfect life to you, you have to make it happen and be prepared to make sacrifices and fail.
- If you get knocked back then don’t cry about it, dig deep, learn from experience and try again.
- Don’t be scared, your completion will exploit that and believe me there’s competition.
- Treat every person you meet with respect and dignity.
- Keep your morals even if it costs you.
- There are no such things as stupid questions and you will never ever know everything.
- Don’t criticise or judge other people’s views or opinions, you have absolutely no right to do this.
- Dont allow someone to hold you back.
- Don’t do anything half assed, always give 100% or you will be overtaken by someone that wants it more.
- The world is not all sunshine and rainbows, it can be a nasty, challenging and difficult place so be prepared. But if you’re willing to put the work in then there are countless rewards.
- Finally remember that the world has endless opportunities, but the onus is on you to take them so never blame anyone else for your mistakes.
Now I should probably end by saying good luck, but you make your own luck in this world, so bring it on.......
