EVENT FOCUS

General Assembly of the GlobalABC

Last week, GBCE participated in the General Assembly of the Global Alliance for Buildings and Construction (GlobalABC). We participated in key sessions, such as the "Materials and Adaptation Hubs" and the "Passive Cooling Action Group & Data Hub Sessions." These sessions focused on identifying gaps and needs across the value chain to incentivize stakeholders to integrate climate adaptation strategies. Additionally, discussions centered around decarbonizing buildings, leveraging AI for data collection, and exploring financing mechanisms for a greener future. These efforts are pivotal in guiding countries, particularly in the Global South, meet their climate targets by adopting low-carbon materials, green building codes, and innovative, climate-friendly technologies.
