Getting senior executives and frontline workers to understand and embrace these innovations in this particular industry will be extremely challenging because of decades of Individual Heroics vs Repeatable Quality-driven Processes. Tight cost management on projects will continue to drive behaviour and performance. Tight alignment and integration of AI and successful cost/profitability on construction projects will be critical in order to address the question of “what’s in it for me†?

First, I am curious why you consider AI an emerging technology. It's certainly a leap forward in the broader digital transformation evolutionary journey, but things like chatbots, large language models, and computer vision were already finding their way into construction well before OpenAI hit the scene, which undeniably made AI highly accessible to all, but also created hype and distraction. Secondly, I strongly agree that "construction firms must prioritize collecting, integrating, and sharing data across disparate systems", but I would add that the notable disparate software solutions you mentioned similarly need to prioritize simplifying customer data accessibility and privacy/security concerns so we can achieve the integrations that will lead to true realized value for our clients and project teams through AI.
