Blueloop Wins IT Support Contract for Butterfly Conservation

We are excited to announce that Blueloop has successfully completed our first year as the Managed IT Services provider for the UK charity, Butterfly Conservation. With their headquarters in Dorset and staff and volunteers across the UK, it has been a rewarding partnership supporting their critical work.

Butterfly Conservation is on a mission to:

• Halve the number of threatened butterfly and moth species.
• Improve the condition of 100 of the UK’s most important landscapes for butterflies and moths.
• Transform 100,000 wild spaces across the UK for the benefit of people, butterflies, and moths.

Why Blueloop?

Earlier last year, Blueloop was invited to participate in the charity’s tender process for IT support. Butterfly Conservation were searching for a service provider that could deliver high-quality service while maintaining competitive costs.

Our charity wished to develop our IT systems in many areas to ensure we can continue to complete our essential work. Blueloop have provided excellent day-to-day support and hosting of our existing environment, whilst listening to our future needs.

Seamless Onboarding Process

We understand that transitioning IT support from one provider to another can be an anxious time for any organisation. In this case, it involved moving hardware from a third-party data centre and setting up everything within Blueloop’s own data centre over a weekend. Our goal was to ensure that Butterfly Conservation’s staff could get back to work smoothly on Monday morning, and we’re proud to say the migration went off without a hitch—there were no support calls needed on that first day back, a testament to the professionalism and skill of the Blueloop team.

A Year of Progress

It has been a busy year for Butterfly Conservation, with a roadmap of IT initiatives that they aimed to complete. We are pleased to report that all planned tasks have been successfully implemented on schedule, supporting the charity’s ongoing digital transformation.

We recently transitioned to a new server environment and this work was completed seamlessly which highlights to us why we chose Blueloop as our IT support provider.

Looking Ahead

We are excited to share that Butterfly Conservation has signed a new two-year support agreement with us. Together, we already have a roadmap in place for the coming year to continue making strides in their digital transformation and IT infrastructure improvements.
