What a lovely trumpet that is!!?
At this time of year many things become the norm, the concept of finishing work and taking a break and reflecting on the year that has passed with a degree of thankfulness and celebration.
As any agency will tell you, 2024 has been very challenging as the full effects of the modern world have washed over us all.? That said, 2024 has been a year of lessons learned, moments to celebrate, new connections made, and other reinforced.
Right, now to blow that highlights trumpet …
- As 2024 kicked off, Simon was a guest tutor at CISL delivering insights on innovation in the context of Health & Sustainability
- Neil delivered an innovation workshop at Waitrose using the 6 I’s.
- In February we rebranded as Clan-Alchemy, thanks to the design talents of Jenn Hood and our new IT service partner The Apprentice Store.
- We squeezed in another innovation workshop in partnership with Chad Advisory supporting a fairtrade Coffee brand.
- London calling! We were at ?The Watercooler event at Excel – all about business culture insights (a lot of which we were already doing), ?to share with the clients we work with.
- We had the opportunity to present our brand at a business event at DM Elite training, the best gym in the world (fact).
- And again at the Highland Business Dinner as guests of Darrel Patterson and Highland News Media.
Then came a significant turning point as Spring moved into Summer and Inverness became tourist-tastic once again… We joined the Inverness Chamber of Commerce
And we made it our plan to develop our presence and throw ourselves into it:
- Starting with business speed dating and networking lunches,
- Inside stories - behind the scenes insights – and learning ‘how others do it’.? Highlights included the Eden Court Theatre & Cinema and meeting the amazing Rebecca Holt
- and Ross County Football club., with huge thanks to Mark Ridgers for the tour
- It was on this same day that we had a double helping of Chris Hawkes and ?Ed Lopez of the fantastic Strut.
- Away from business we were proud to sponsor the Highland Pride Party in July, and were moved by how important events like these are in today’s world.
- We also worked with Highland Pride SCIO on their Purpose, Vision & Mission – setting the strategy for 2025 – something big and bold is coming folks!
?As the leaves on the trees began to change, we embraced everyday of Highland Business Week
- Monday – Neil had Media Training by DP Digital and Nicky Marr,
- Tuesday - we took our place alongside multiple organisations at The Business Spotlight at The Drumossie Hotel, and those fellas from Strut delivered a great seminar on branding.
- Wednesday – Simon learned about Action Learning sets with Nicky Marr,
- Thursday – we did our bit and delivered a seminar on Innovation & Change.
- Friday - We were ready to celebrate at the Highland Business Awards and were pleased and proud to know some of the winners.
As the nights began to draw in
- We flew south to deliver a modular communication and understanding event for Pets At Home
- and developed a pilot programme based on that for DYW to be tested in January.
- We’ve supported another client with the introduction of a new accountability methodology across their business and have been guiding them through risk appetite for a tippety-top secret new venture for 2025!
- There’s also been stuff we are proud of but can’t talk about due to client confidentiality including loads of 1-2-1 coaching.
Right, the trumpet is blown for 2024, so I guess that’s us!
