BloomNation is a Teenager!

(A word from our co-founder and CEO, Farbod Shoraka)

Wow, time flies! It feels like just yesterday I started BloomNation, and now here we are—13 years later. That’s right, BloomNation is officially a teenager! And like most teenagers, we’re growing, exploring, and even heading further from home—now partnering with florists in Canada as well as across the U.S.

When I first started this journey, it was because of my aunt’s flower shop. She was struggling, stuck fulfilling unprofitable wire-in orders and paying outrageous fees. It broke my heart to see her creative spirit stifled, turning her into a fulfillment machine instead of a floral designer. That’s when I knew there had to be a better way for florists to showcase their talent and make a living from it.

Fast forward 13 years, and BloomNation has grown into a thriving community of thousands of local florists. Together, we’ve brought back over $1 billion to local flower shops. Yes, that’s a billion with a “B”! And we’ve done it with honesty, transparency, and a whole lot of love for this industry.

To make things even better, we’ve just upgraded our Point of Sale system, making it easier than ever for florists to manage their businesses and put those beautiful blooms in customers’ hands.

I’m so proud of what we’ve accomplished together with our awesome community of long-time partner florists and to those of you who joined us just recently.
