Bloody Sunday Sessions
I know you are probably wondering what the title is really about. Let me explain, so we can put that question out of your mind. Bloody Sunday Sessions is a web-based video series of stripped-down musical performances occurring in the back of the iconic New Orleans mule-drawn carriages. The idea was born on a balcony in the French Quarter in the oldest apartment building in the United States.
Watching the carriages pass by during breaks from a home studio recording session, it only seemed logical to put the two together. Add recordings on Sunday, and add some bloody marys to the mix, and the rest is history in the making. Oh, and let’s not forget the creativity of the people who had the courage to make their dream of the Bloody Sunday Sessions a reality.
Why did I write about this particular topic? I want you to listen to that little voice inside of your head that’s screaming at you, “this is a great idea!â€
I want you to listen to your gut with clarity, and get back in touch with your creative side.
I think it’s sad when we let go of the daring, and settle for the “boring†result of most daily routines. When we decide to settle instead of continuing to strive and soar high on the winds of our childlike enthusiasm.
Maybe, just maybe, this short article will re-ignite a spark or re-start a flame of possibilities for you. I do hope so, for your future's sake. You are so much more fun when you are letting your inner creativity run free.
I recommend that you check the entire portfolio out on youtube, but here are three of my favorite Bloody Sunday Sessions:
