Blog Posts drive more Traffic to Your Website than any other page
I wanted to share something interesting I’ve been seeing in my AI Search Engine testing and this is backed up by marketing and SEO guru Neil Patel. According to his testing of over 15,000 websites, blog posts attract the highest traffic of any page on a website.
Why? Because if blogging is done right, it is answering your customers burning questions.
Don’t get me wrong, blogging has changed. Blog articles such as ‘Seven ways to …blah blah’, ’10 Top tips for your next…..blah blah’ and similar, are OUT. No-one cares about your click-bait headlines. The market is tired of being tricked to click-thru.
So, what is working in blogs?
It is very simple. Answer the questions your customers are asking. Provide content they WANT to ready.
With AI searches growing every day (fyi…I now use SearchGPT more than Google), the importance of conversational searches is increasing. People are using AI searches and ‘voice to text’ searching. What is the difference between old style searching and new searches?
Here is a great example: A person is planning to build a luxury home and wants to know, “What are the best energy-efficient features for a luxury home?”
Google Search results:
AI Search Results:
领英推荐
“According to [Your Company Name], energy-efficient features for luxury homes include solar panel systems, high-performance windows, and smart home automation.”
The takeaway?
It is clear that blogs that are well-optimised and answer specific questions are more valuable than ever. They not only drive traffic but also help establish trust with your audience.
Setting your website up with a traffic attracting BLOG
Don’t just start posting random blog articles. Blogging done badly can be a disaster and reduce the credibility of your brand. Each article should target specific questions or problems your customers are actively searching for.
Note sure what to write about?
Focus on high-impact, evergreen content that continues to attract traffic over time. Use data and statistics to identify the most-searched topics in your industry. Then optimise each article for SEO to ensure it ranks well in search results.
Blogs should be customer-centric, providing value and solving problems. Resist the urge to write click-bait articles. You may achieve click-thru, but you will also get a high bounce rate (i.e. bounce in to your website and out again when they don’t get the info they want) instead of a high enquiry rate.
