A blog post on 2023

Here's a round-up of my past 12 months...

• Organised four Books & Networking events! Three of the four events sold out (first time I've ever sold out of anything!). With excellent guest speakers and discussions on what everyone's reading.
• Books & Action - my seventh book - was released in August - full of hints and tips on getting the most from business books.
• Started the year creating and releasing a new software product - PittComics - for cataloguing and organising comic book collections.
• Continued to market my existing software products, books, and website maintenance service.
• Continued to offer my writing/self publishing support - including one-to-one help and my book on writing/self publishing - with at least one person using my resources and help to release their book this year!
• Occassionally hosted the #1pmChat Twitter hour at the start of the year.
• Written blog posts and articles, covering a range of topics including writing/self publishing, business books, creating products, and small business. Also started experimenting with short videos.
• Both my Facebook groups (my book group and club/charity group) continue to be active.
• Started using Pinterest more, and also recently joined BlueSky (a new Twitter alternative).
• In July, I was one of the Theo Paphitis #SBS winners on Twitter (a contest every Sunday evening) - where I got a retweet from the Dragon's Den star.
• As I usually do each year, ended the year marketing my planning software (for people looking to plan and get organised for the new year).
• Plenty of walks along the beach!

Plans for 2024 include more Books & Networking events (including an extra one-off writing/self publishing event as part of the book group's 5th anniversary), and more work on my software products.

I may or may not take a break from releasing a book in 2024 (although I have at least two new books I'm working on at the moment).
