Blog: On ice: 'freezing' and 'unfreezing' research culture
We would like to thank Higher Education Policy Institute for bringing another blog of ours. In this blog, C. Anthony Di Benedetto (Temple University), and Constant Pieters (Copenhagen Business School), and I discuss the need to establish a strong research culture. To achieve this goal, we build on Kurt Lewin's three-step model of organizational change. Having discussed how to unfreeze current organizational behaviors, how to adopt the desired behaviors, and how to freeze the new behaviors, we offer some overall policy recommendations.
