Blog 2.6 - Week 6 of Start-up

Blog Caveat:

? We are actually 1-month into future of the blog, but each post was written live along the way.

? We will post a short blog each Sunday reflecting on the week-that-was. See Blog 2.0 for intro to series.

Archived Blogs: 2.1 - 2.2 - 2.3 - 2.4 - 2.5

? Comments and questions are greatly appreciated. Let’s start a conversation.

Monday May 29th – Sunday June 4th

Timeframe Quotes:

“Need to be quicker at getting our content out”
“Is now the right time for external partners to come onboard?”
“Our vision/strategy needs to be documented and clear for upcoming meetings”
“A lot of overhead thought slowing us down, need to get back to executing”

What did we do?

-      Finalize game selection for Microsoft event

-      Send marketing collateral to Microsoft and begin promoting on our platforms

-      No response from target partnership, adjust to plan B

-      Release hype video of footage from inaugural event

-      Huge pow-wow meeting with potential new “Super Team”, hold ground with OeSL vision and facilitate mutual benefits

-      Stressful times wanting to maintain partnership with initial venue after realizing this “Super Team” was an attempt to buy low into the OeSL without receiving much value in return

-      Begin networking with different venues in efforts of having multiple options to launch league for September 2017

-      Formally reject initial offer to dilute OeSL ownership, begin working on proposal to present to “Super Team” next week

-      Create an outline of resources needing to be developed including: an Investors deck, Sponsorship strategies, and Partner Venue strategies
