Blog 2.0 - Documenting the Start-up: An OeSL Story

Doing anything for the first time is often quite daunting; whether it’s your first day at school, a new job, learning how to snowboard, your first serious relationship, your first child, or starting a business. Across all of these “first-time” experiences however, are some resounding parallels of wisdom.

“You will be lost initially, but you’ll get the hang of it”
“You’re not the first person to ever go through this, ask the right people for help”
“Don’t get discouraged right away, and don’t lose confidence in the tough times”

As someone who has gone through each of the experiences above, sans having a first child, creating Blog 2.0 could not have come from a better place. This series of short blogs is designed to share the OeSL start-up story: from its inception, through its launch, and into its trials, tribulations, and (fingers crossed) triumphs.

But why? The purpose of Blog 2.0 is to follow through on the value-add of “documenting” versus “creating” content. We live in a world now craving fulfillment, seeking inspiration, and yet settling for complacency. If following our story gets even one person past that all-too-familiar “great idea, nothing happening” phase, it will have accomplished a major goal.

We started out as a great idea; follow our story to see where we end up!

Blog Caveat:

  • We are actually 1-month into future of the blog, but each post was written live along the way. So yes, Happy 1-month anniversary to us!
  • We will post a short blog each Sunday reflecting on the week-that-was.
  • Today's post also contains our blog on everything "Pre-Launch". See below.
  • Comments and questions are greatly appreciated. Let’s start a conversation.
