Advancing race equity across learning and working spaces
Leadership is one of the most defining forces shaping our world. Across history and geography, we’ve seen it take many forms—each with its own influence on people, places, and progress. There are dictators who lead with authority and power, influencers who guide through connection and relatability, visionaries who inspire change by challenging the status quo, and servant leaders who work humbly for the betterment of others.
In this vast spectrum of leadership styles, some stand out for their ability to lead not for personal gain, but for a greater purpose. These are the leaders who dream big, act with humility, and dedicate themselves to creating lasting change. Today, I want to celebrate one such leader— Paul Mensah Amanor , the founder of the Foundation for Educational Equity & Development (FEED).
A Leader Building a Legacy
Paul’s leadership at FEED is nothing short of remarkable. With humility, passion, and an unwavering commitment to education, he has built an organisation that is changing lives for the better. FEED’s mission to provide literacy and educational opportunities for underserved children in Ghana is deeply rooted in Paul’s vision of equity and empowerment. Under his guidance, FEED has reached over 18,805 children and youth, supported 113 schools, and distributed over 4,600 books and school supplies to students in need.
But what makes Paul’s leadership so special isn’t just the numbers—it’s his approach. He leads with humility, working alongside his team and centring the communities he serves. He pioneers with curiosity and courage, constantly seeking new ways to address educational challenges. And above all, he serves with passion, embodying the belief that literacy is the golden thread that weaves together opportunity, equality, and transformation.
A Visionary Yet to Reach His Peak
What’s even more inspiring is that Paul’s work at FEED is only just beginning. The seeds he has planted through his efforts are already yielding incredible results, but the legacy he is building will far outlast his lifetime.
Paul is a visionary who exemplifies the best of leadership—someone who dreams big, acts boldly, and remains steadfast in his dedication to service. It’s a privilege to witness his journey and to work in collaboration with him on The Ghana Literacy Project. I cannot wait to see what he achieves in the near and far future as he continues to impact lives and redefine what’s possible through education.
