Hi, I'm?Javier Perez?(Linkedln/Twitter), a Blockchain enthusiast. Welcome to another chapter of ''Blockchain Success Stories: How Blockchain Technologies are Changing the World'' where we bring every week a success story of a company that have decided to try blockchain in their day to day.
This week we bring
Honeysuckle White
The Honeysuckle White Company is one of the largest turkey distributors in the United States. In 2017 they made the decision to take the value they offered together with the distribution of their products to the next level through the implementation of a solution with Blockchain technology, developed by 嘉吉 , from farm to table (farm to table) to increase transparency and traceability of the turkey.
Thanks to this innovation by the company, consumers have the possibility of viewing all the information regarding the turkey that they will use at Christmas or any other occasion.
This innovation offers a completely new space on which you can let the consumer know everything about the product.

With the simple fact of entering the code belonging to the turkey, which comes on the label, they will be able to obtain information such as the history of the family that fed it, in which city of the country the farm is located and even read a message from the farmers.
Here you can see the platform to introduce the code.
Honeysuckle White is highly committed to food transparency and is aware that consumers want to understand where the food they eat comes from and how it is produced. More than 200 thousand turkeys with their traceability under the Blockchain were distributed in the market, which was still a milestone for the company, the good reception that this initiative had.
On the other hand, for Christmas 2018, around 3,500 retail stores throughout the West of the country began distributing fully traceable turkeys with Blockchain technology in their stores, which shows that adoption and recognition is increasing. positive on the part of the companies of the potential and usefulness of this technology.
This is just another success case where you can see that companies are starting to use the technology because it works, and more importantly, IT SOLVES MANY PROBLEMS! Hope you like it and next time you buy a turkey remember that in USA you can track it completely.

1 年Amazing use case Javier. When I speak about blockchain I always make a similar example, you go to the grocery store and decide to buy organic coffee, but how do you know that is really organic? You don't, so the only thing you can do is spend more money and trust that who applied that label is not lying. Now think to buy organic coffee, and it is traced through blockchain. Real game changer, information are immutable and transparent, and the problem of not having trust is kinda solved ??
