Talking about Blockchain Engineering and Product Design specifically.?
Blockchain Engineering is a more technical role where once you have a lot of practice and an understanding of the tools and software you need, you’ll be okay over time - meaning you’ll only have to build on your foundational knowledge.

While product design also requires that you have some foundational knowledge it is a more creative role and you would need to be continuously creative. If you always have new interesting ideas on how to do stuff or are generally a creative person, then you’ll want to go for product design.
Both are equally relevant fields, so no one is better than the other.
