"There's no wild-eyed optimism and there's no gloomy pessimism. There is instead an opportunity to grapple with the very real challenges that crypto will present." These very lines by Professor Joseph Grundfest got me hooked on the course by Stanford.
The course provides a wide range of perspectives including technological, economic, administrative, etc. Although this course neither teaches you how to write hundreds of lines of code(not even one) nor it teaches you how to analyze complex graphs and make millions in trading in one night(can you?), rather it presents a spectrum of different aspects of the blockchain as a whole and compelled us to start a thing where should we stick our dart on the board to at least start with something meaningful.
Professor Dan Boneh covers technical aspects in a very crisp way as anybody from any stream can understand the underlying technology. It is not a very big course and I really encourage everyone to at least look into it. Believe it or not, this technology is going to impact the industry enormously for sure, so it doesn't hurt to invest a few hours.
