Blockchain technology made an impression at Davos early this year, and since March the growth of crypto-currencies (an incentive for participating in a blockchain) has been explosive. Supporters of this technology will tell you, "this is only the beginning."

What is Blockchain, and how could it change how our institutions function? What new businesses will it enable, and how will it impact our current businesses?

I've tried to answers some of these questions in a brief presentation below. There is a handy video about the Bitcoin Blockchain by IEEE as well.
