Block one of your nostrils

My little daughter, aged 7, has a certain temparement...
Still, she feels that it's not serving her. So, when the other day, she heard someone on the radio saying that when you feel angry, you can try to block one of your nostrils and take some deep breaths, she "absorbed" it, even though she did not say anything about that to us.
The next day, she got really angry with her mother about something I cannot even remember. She ran to her mum ready to start shouting at her, but then she remembered what she heard. So what did she do? She blocked one of her nostrils with one finger and while breathing heavily and said very angrily "Mama! Mama!"
It was hilarious and it actually ended everything there, but it was a big lesson to me in many ways. Anger will always be present. What I need to do is to make sure I control it first, before I try to communicate with anyone.
And then the real learning takes place. I need to understand why I got so angry. Most probably it is because I identify so much with something that when everything does not align with my belief, it seems threatening to me.
I need a lot of practice...
